  • Location open to all of NSW, however preference will be given to candidates based regionally, with a focus on Queanbeyan, Armidale, Dubbo and Coffs Harbour.
  • Offering an attractive annual salary ranging from $120,859 - $133,183 plus superannuation

The Data & Performance team in the Department of Regional NSW is looking for an up-and-coming candidate for the position of Senior Analyst. This is a full-time, ongoing role.

About the opportunity

  • Design and develop data warehousing solutions
  • Collaborate with other Corporate & Performance teams, mostly People, Finance and ICT
  • Develop, implement Extract Transform Load (ETL) and Business Intelligence solutions
  • Conduct database analysis and design services
  • Provide assistance and advice on technical data management issues
  • Collaborate within the team to develop strategies
  • Manage the development and publishing of data standards

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Knowledge of the use of data in professional environments to promote competitive advantage.
  • Ability to communicate complex and/or technical issues simply, clearly and effectively in different forums to a range of stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with one or more database software packages, programs or languages.
  • Stakeholder relationship engagement and management.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding team.
  • Work independently within a geographically dispersed team that values flexible work practices.

Essential requirement:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Database Administration, a relevant field or equivalent experience.
