About us
The Regional Growth NSW Development Corporation (RGDC) is established under the Growth Centres (Development Corporations) Act 1974 to lead the delivery and implementation of the Government’s Special Activation Precincts program and work extensively with Department of Regional NSW and various other agencies.


About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Circular Economy Lead for our Sustainability and Circular Economy team where you will be responsible for strategic circular economy initiatives across Special Activation Precincts program. Key duties include establishing strategic frameworks, implementing circular economy projects, and supporting broader team initiatives.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop precinct-specific circular economy strategies and action plans
  • Manage program implementation to catalyse circular economy initiatives
  • Provide updates on policy changes and industry practices affecting circular economy objectives
  • Drive continuous improvement in line with industry standards and government policy
  • Prepare briefs and policy papers as needed

Our ideal candidate will have;

  • Experience in circular economy and/or industrial ecology, with at least one example of practical implementation of circular economy concepts.
  • Experience in implementing and applying sustainability, circular economy, environmental management and/or emission reduction frameworks and rating tools.
  • Data analysis, data management and governance and digital analytics and reporting skills and experience (academic qualifications or work experience) are highly desirable.
  • Essential requirement: Relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant industry experience in one or more of the following fields: environmental management, environmental science, business administration, project management or related discipline.
