· Fixed-term full-time role (until 30 June 2024)

· Location – Narrabri NSW             

· Salary ranging from $55,476 through to $58,955pa + super

About the role

  • Support laboratory, glasshouse and field operations in conducting research across multiple projects within DPI Agriculture
  • Conduct field sample collection at various locations and assist in the management of glasshouse and field trials under minimal supervision
  • Fulfil the technical capabilities required for receipt and testing of field samples for  cotton diseases
  • Collect and accurately record research data and information to ensure consistency and quality in sample evaluation from replicated trials

 

About you

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Be great team player and collaborator
  • Have technical skills in operating and maintaining a range of laboratory equipment
  • Willing to travel to conduct field trials and disease surveillance
  • Be able to manage multiple tasks effectively within tight timeframes to ensure project outcomes are met

 

Essential requirements

  • Qualifications in accordance with Part 2 (xv) of the Crown Employees (Department of Industry) Technical Staff Award
  • Ability to fulfil the physical requirements of the role
  • Valid NSW Driver License and the ability and willingness to travel as required
