About the role:
The Soil Conservation Service Sydney Area Team are looking for a leader to coordinate and manage the delivery of natural resource and environmental works for multiple clients.

As the Senior Project Manager, you’ll enjoy working in a commercial setting supporting a diverse team of environmental project managers to deliver environmental and/or civil construction projects. Typical projects include coastal erosion, creek restoration, fire trails and land rehabilitation.  

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of professionals to organise and deliver projects, support works on ground, and ensure works are in line with client needs
  • Managing a successful commercial business
  • Working with clients to find solutions for their needs in managing land and water
  • Establishing networks and developing effective partnerships to deliver environmental outcomes
  • Financial Management of a business area with a $3M to $5M turnover, with projects ranging in size from $20k to $2M.
  • Providing practical solutions to a diverse range of natural environment management issues and delivering beneficial outcomes to clients on a fee-for-service basis

About you:
Our ideal successful candidate will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field as well as knowledge and experience in the implementation of natural resource management and / or civil construction techniques and practices
  • A solid understanding of and commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Experience managing and project teams within a similar commercial business setting
  • Capability to roll up your sleeves and jump into hands on project delivery work when required
  • A current NSW driver licence combined with the willingness and ability to travel across NSW (including overnight stays) is also required.
