If you are looking to work with a team that is high performing, professional, and has a great culture, then this is the role for you!  Greater Sydney LLS is recruiting a new team member to coordinate weed programs across the region.

About this Role

This role is responsible for the implementation of the Greater Sydney Regional Strategic Weeds Plan. You will work with project partners and various key stakeholders including local Governments and DPI to ensure the priorities are delivered and maintained, whilst aligning with strategic management plans at a local, state and national level.

Other key duties include:

  • Undertaking secretariat duties
  • Building partnerships and supporting collaboration to address priority invasive weed management issues
  • Collaborating with the Invasive Species team and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes for the environment and industry
  • Administer the program budgets and processes
  • Report to the Greater Sydney Regional Weed Committee on weed matters within the region and the purposes of the program
  • Liaise with participants and stakeholders to promote effective cross jurisdictional arrangements
  • Implement Monitoring, evaluation, reporting and improvement (MERI) framework for NW Regional Strategic Weed Management Plan

About You

To be successful in this role you’ll need practical weed biosecurity management knowledge and experience, combined with proven project planning and strategy development experience. You’ll need a high attention to detail with excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to engage and network with internal and external stakeholders. You’ll also be able to work autonomously with limited supervision, as well as within a geographically dispersed team and be someone who simply get things done.

The successful applicant in this role may be required to undergo a police check, health assessment and other assessments as required.
