The Department of Regional NSW is partnering with Hudson Canberra on a project to identify a number of high performing individuals for critical roles supporting the growth and prosperity of Regional NSW communities. About the role

In the role of Senior Grants Officer, you will work as part of a team to manage and coordinate the administration of grants associated with programs and projects which deliver financial and economic support to Regional NSW communities. The role will involve financial and performance analysis and reporting to ensure the grants are delivering the outcomes intended.


In addition, some of the key responsibilities will be:

  • Manage and administer regional and community grants programs, ensuring compliance with program guidelines and governance standards
  • Provide specialist financial and performance reporting on grant programs and the associated management of risk associated
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of appropriate governance and risk frameworks, performance measures, reporting standards and assessment tools, and systems to track, monitor and report on identified project milestones and deliverables to ensure effective governance of new projects from inception to completion.


About you

You will have experience in financial and performance reporting in relation to government funded programs, with an ability to provide advice, briefings and reports on the effectiveness of the grant programs. You will have a strong eye for detail, the ability to solve problems effectively and collaboratively, and work with stakeholders across government and in regional communities to support the effective functioning of these grant programs.


To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience managing and administering financial and performance reporting
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing governance and risk processes
  • Knowledge of government programs, decision processes and probity requirements
  • Exceptional communication and relationship building skills
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications or equivalent, relevant professional experience and training
