Senior Facilities Officer

• Ongoing full-time position within our Facilities Team to provide services spread across NSW
• This role has the opportunity to be located across any of our metropolitan and regional offices, while we empower our employees to work flexibly, there is an expectation that you will live within a reasonable distance to a PWA office to attend the office a minimum 2 days per week
• Salary ranging from $99,431 to $110,064 plus Superannuation, Leave Loading and Flex Leave

About the role

We are currently seeking a Senior Facilities Officer to join the Public Works (PW) within the Department of Regional NSW (DRNSW).

In the role of Senior Facilities Officer, you will:

• Coordinate and provide advice that supports cleaning services across NSW government portfolios - The whole of Government Cleaning Contract is valued at $1.7 billion over the 5 year term, with about 4,300 sites
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding cleaning services and contract management, providing detailed and timely advice and support services
• Manage external service providers on day to day delivery of asset and facilities management services
• Oversee customer service surveys, audits and on-site inspections to ensure work is being executed in accordance with agreed standards and agreements, and plan for improvements
• Undertake analysis on contract statistics and performance, research and collate information for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes and implement plans
• Manage compilation, coordination and monitoring of budgets for facilities management work and provide regular reports to Senior Management

The contract is a major employer of people in both regional and metro NSW and supports $160m in aboriginal and disability indicatives. The contract may also support the states emergency response to events such as Covid-19, floods, storms, and bushfire events.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience in facilities management or building services and a demonstrated history of contributing to the performance of a team in a similar environment
• An ability to build and maintain strong relationships within and outside of PW
• Capacity to acquire knowledge of clients and their portfolios
• Tertiary qualifications in Facilities Management, Project Management, Procurement or related field, or relevant industry experience
• Current NSW Drivers Licence and willingness to drive to and work in remote locations which may include overnight stays
