  • Parental leave cover, fixed term role available until Jan 2023
  • Queanbeyan location preferred although regional NSW locations will be considered for the right candidate
  • Salary from $113,300pa (plus superannuation) plus benefits

 

About you

We are a small but dedicated team that focus on supporting our clients within the Department of Regional NSW.

 

With one of our team taking some parental leave, we have a great opportunity for  a passionate and  capable individual to join us full time until January 2023.

 

You will ideally have had previous  experience operating at a leader level and are able to manage your workload autonomously, escalating as necessary.  You will be confident in  balancing the operational, with day-to-day issues management and have the capacity to develop and implement strategic communications in a fast-paced and changing environment.

 

We like to innovate so you won’t be afraid to think outside the box and bring new ideas to the table.


You will have a background in delivery within media management, including the planning and delivery of media opportunities and materials and genuinely enjoy the work that you do.

 

Our stakeholders are very important to us and customer centricity is at the heart of everything we do and with that in mind, you’ll also have previous experience building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

 

About the role

The Senior Communications Advisor proactively develops and executes integrated communications strategies and provides media management and high-level strategic advice to a broad range of stakeholders. This role is responsible for:

 

  • Researching and preparing media and communications materials as well as  organising media events and opportunities, often working within tight timeframes
  • Being aware of media and communications issues and themes, identifying opportunities and risks, and providing appropriate advice and guidance
  • Developing and managing high-level working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Leading and driving the media, communications, and engagement strategy for your portfolio, including attending Executive briefings, evaluations, and reporting
