Senior Client Growth Manager

  • Two temporary positions available for an initial term of 24 months
  • This position has a capacity to be located across one of our four Hubs, that is either our Coffs Harbour, Armidale, Dubbo or Queanbeyan offices

Public Works (PW) is part of the Department of Regional NSW (DRNSW), and supports local and state government agencies to deliver critical infrastructure initiatives by providing expert advisory, planning, design, delivery and support services.  There’s nothing abstract about what we do. About the role

As a member of the Account Management and Client Engagement team at Public Works, you will:

  • Leverage your extensive engineering, project and/or construction management experience to undertake a centralised approach to sales lead nurturing and proposal development with a specific focus on high impact growth and strategic opportunities for PW
  • In this business development role you will source and develop new leads and referrals for PW in key strategic areas across the business and its various service lines
  • Manage end-to-end new business acquisition processes for key accounts including identification of direct engagement and online tenders
  • Nurture opportunity-specific client leads (in collaboration with relevant account managers & technical experts) to optimise the scope of work and strategy of PW’s proposal

You will also work to ensure compliance of submitted tenders/proposals with regards to cadence, deadlines and all questions or queries are answered.


About you

To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Demonstrated performance in relationship management and bid/proposal management roles in commercial environments, preferably in the construction and engineering sector
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills including facilitation skill with exceptional ability to influence
  • Highly developed presentation, pitch design, proposal development and solution mapping skills
  • Familiarity with strict sales disciplines such as pipeline management, bid management, call reports and sales plans
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence and willingness to drive to and work in remote locations which may include overnight stays
