Riverina Local Land Services (LLS) have a fantastic opportunity for a Regional Weed Coordinator to join the team and engage with 14 Local Government Areas (LGAs) across the Riverina - coordinating the delivery of weed management outcomes as outlined in the NSW Weeds Action Program (WAP) and Riverina Strategic Weed Management Plan.

The Project Officer’s role is to coordinate and facilitate the Riverina Regional Weeds Committee, allocate and coordinate the Weeds Action Plan (WAP) funding and outcomes across 14 Local Government Areas (LGAs), and be the link between LLS and the funding body (NSW DPI).

You’ll also provide products and services that promote best practice pest plant control methods, as well as partner with public and private land managers to deliver educational and awareness-raising programs in collaboration with LGAs and Riverina Regional Weeds Committee.

We are looking for a person who is self-motivated, enthusiastic, a good communicator who ideally has a keen interest in plant invasive species management. Proven project coordination/management experience and the ability to work closely with multiple stakeholders. A current Drivers Licence and the ability and willingness to travel throughout the Riverina LLS region is also a requirement of this role.
