The Department of Regional NSW Regional Development branch is the NSW Government’s eyes and ears on the ground for regional economic development and infrastructure delivery, providing multi-agency coordination, community planning and support in applying for government grant funding.   

About the role

The Regional Business Officer coordinates and undertakes agreed project activities that contribute to the successful delivery of key projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with relevant objectives, policies and procedures. The role also provides high level administrative support to the Deputy Director and associated team.

To be successful in this role you will have a background in

• Providing quality service and support to your work teams under competing demands and high-volume workloads, as well as negotiating workable timeframes with staff seeking administrative and project support.
• Communicating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders with diverse interests and engagement with the delivery of services, projects and initiatives.
• Dealing correctly with requests for information and advice, given the need to be across current issues, providing accurate advice and to recognise when to seek guidance from senior staff.

Essential requirements

Administrative and organisational skills with demonstrated capacity to manage several tasks concurrently and to meet deadlines.
