  • Salary range: $99,431 to $110,064 plus superannuation and annual leave loading
  • Location: Negotiable

About You

This critical role:

  • provides bespoke and holistic client-centric services to accelerate recovery of primary producers and rural landholders impacted by the 2021 flood event, by connecting them with disaster recovery support services,
  • builds strategic relationships with other government agencies and non-government organisations, and
  • proactively engages with key industry stakeholders (such as growers groups) to develop and deliver activities to build their resilience and preparedness for future events.


You should live within a Local Government Area that was disaster declared following the March 2021 floods.


This is a challenging role, but one which is extremely rewarding and really makes a difference. A background or strong interest in the primary industries sector would be ideal, however what’s important is your enthusiasm, attitude and ability to learn and be part of a team.


Essential requirements:

  • Current NSW Driver Licence and the ability and willingness to travel



  • Tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience in an appropriate discipline including:
    • Primary production
    • Animal welfare
    • Community engagement/development
    • Natural resource management
    • Emergency management, particularly recovery
    • Psychology, counselling and mental health
    • Social and/or case work.
  • For one role (ideally located in the Hawkesbury/Greater Sydney region), experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities would be highly regarded.
