Project Support Officer

• Multiple Temporary roles, up to 3 years
• LOCATION:  Regional NSW 
• While we work flexibly, there will be an expectation that you will live within a reasonable distance to one of our office locations to frequent the office minimum 3 days per week.
• Salary range from $87,493.00 to $96,540.00 plus super and leave loading

About the role

We are currently seeking Project Support Officers to join Public Works within the Department of Regional NSW (DRNSW).  The Project Support Officers will be part of our Grant Program Assurance Team and others will join the newly created Infrastructure Coordination Office, which supports the reconstruction efforts for the Northern Rivers region following the devastating 2022 flood events..

Project Support Officers support and assist project managers and project assurance managers with a range of project and business tasks to enable delivery of annual programs of project delivery and grant program assurance for public assets, working with internal and external clients and partners within government.  

Roles will cover a variety of project and business support functions including financial, resourcing, records management and procurement to contribute to the efficient operation of the team.  

About you

To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will have the following:

• Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry experience in project management, office administration, human resources, management, finance or related discipline.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to compose correspondence, agendas and minutes.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple deliverables simultaneously; strong time and project management skills.
• High level expertise in records management and MS Suite, including Word, Excel and Power Point, One Drive, Share-point and TRIM.
• Current NSW Drivers Licence and willingness to drive to and work in remote locations which may include overnight stays.
