  • Salary package up to $117K dependent on experience (includes salary range $97k - $107K + superannuation and annual leave loading).

About the role

The Project Officer (Asset Data) sits within our Public Works Advisory Surveying unit providing survey, property and spatial services tailored to NSW government asset and infrastructure projects.

Reporting directly to the CAD and Spatial manager, the primary responsibility of this role is to carry out the day-to-day management of spatial asset capture projects for various government clients.  This will involve managing internal/external client relationships, preparing fee proposals and controlling the quality of project workflow components.

 

About you

To be successful in this role you will have well-developed knowledge and experience of CAD and database systems, knowledge of project management concepts and the capability to foster business relationships.  

To be considered for this role, you must meet the essential requirements, which can be found in the role description, as well as the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant working experience in asset data delivery, CAD drafting and some project management experience.
  • Experience working with databases, maintenance and management of those databases.
  • A valid NSW Driver’s Licence and a to drive to undertake field data collection within the Sydney Metropolitan area and regional NSW when required.

Public Works Advisory (PWA) is a division of the Department of Regional NSW (DRNSW). PWA provides a broad range of infrastructure advisory, procurement, project management and engineering services across NSW, assisting local and state government clients to plan, develop, deliver, manage, operate and maintain critical infrastructure.

Target Question 2:  The Project Officer (Asset Data) will work on large scale Asset Management projects involving primarily CAD and database systems but could also transition to GIS and 3D environments, what are your experiences working with these technologies?
