About Us

Public Works Advisory (PWA) is a division of the Department of Regional NSW (DRNSW).


PWA provides a broad range of infrastructure advisory, procurement, project management and engineering services across NSW, assisting local and state government clients to plan, develop, deliver, manage, operate and maintain critical infrastructure.



About the role

This Project Management role will form part of our Bathurst based team that services the Riverina Western Region.  This role contributes as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering professional project management and advisory services for NSW. In this role you may be working on the following projects across regional NSW:

  • Water and waste infrastructure projects
  • Construction and refurbishment of cultural and tourism facilities
  • Bridge and road projects.


About you

To be successful in this role you will have experience and knowledge of project management concepts, construction and design experience and the capability to foster business relationships.

To be considered for this role, you must meet the essential requirements, which can be found in the role description, as well as the following:


  • Qualifications in Civil Engineering and/or Architecture;
  • Relevant field experience which includes a 1-2 years practical experience in design or construction,
  • Ability work in a team environment;
  • Confidence communicating with various stakeholders to deliver projects;
  • Experience with project management systems and the use of a wide range of Microsoft software applications and other data management systems;
  • High attention to detail
  • Awareness of Project Management Principles
  • Sound time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A high degree of computer literacy, with an understanding of project management systems and experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • A valid NSW Driver’s Licence and a willingness to travel within NSW which may include overnight stays.
