  • Attractive salary starting from $101,947 – $112,849 + 10.5% Super & leave entitlements

About our team

The Department of Regional NSW, Regional Development branch facilitates business and industry growth and diversification to increase employment and training opportunities in regional NSW. We support economies in transition and work with critical stakeholders to increase service accessibility and improve the quality of life for regional NSW. Our coordination expertise enables the delivery of social outcomes, and as trusted advisors, we inform decision making and government intervention activities.

The Opportunity

In the role of Policy and Project Officer, you will coordinate and conduct analysis, advice and project delivery to support branch and departmental priorities. The Policy and Project Officer has a specific responsibility for managing Regional Development advice on NSW Government policies considering a range of regional, industry and community issues in the process.

Your day will consist of but not be limited to:

  • Providing timely, relevant analysis and advice on Cabinet and policy issues including through coordination of input from regionally based teams.
  • Providing project and task support for the Manager and Executive Director.
  • Undertake research, analysis and review of options to inform decision making, and contribute to key project and team outputs.
  • Prepare a range of project or policy related documents including briefs, reports, status updates and strategy documents.
