About the Role

We're celebrating a big year of learning and development actions with lots of planning underway to ensure the Department of Regional NSW has the knowledge and skills it needs to deliver for Regional NSW in 2023. In this position, you will be working within a large and multifaceted organisation and be responsible for:

  • Learning system development, delivery, and ongoing management in relation to mandatory training, performance development, and workforce capability learning solutions including e-learning, virtual and face to face workshops, on the job learning activities, and tailored training programs;
  • Advising on instructional design and delivery methods, applying emerging themes and trends in contemporary e-learning, applications and software development, and adult learning best practice;
  • Undertaking skills gap analysis in consultation with senior management and executives, to understand, develop and deliver a tailored approach to areas of training need;
  • Managing service agreements with external organisations to deliver both learning programs and program content.

About You

To be successful in this position you will be confident and comfortable establishing business partner relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing expert strategic and technical advice whilst engaging and influencing decision-makers to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of learning programs.

You’ll also need proven experience developing and delivering learning systems, an understanding of the associated technology, and demonstrated hands-on delivery of e-learning within large organisations.

You’ll be able to manage multiple competing and complex projects and priorities, work to critical turnaround times and be adept at coordinating the work of and providing guidance to project staff as and when required.

A high degree of self-motivation, commitment, critical thinking, adaptability, and a focus on stakeholder relationship management is also required.

DRNSW supports hybrid work commitments and with more than 80% of our workforce located across the region, you’ll be open to travel and visit your team across the state, see other offices and understand location specific needs.
