About the Role

Greater Sydney Local Land Service (LLS) are looking for a proven leader with experience delivering effective projects and programs in a complex environment. You will have a strong background in collaboration, negotiation and influencing within all levels of a business and the ability to manage complex, high functioning, multidisciplinary teams.

The main objective of this role is to drive delivery of our natural resource management and sustainable agriculture programs in line with the Greater Sydney LLS Local Strategic Plan. Through effective communication and collaboration, you will provide support in the areas of performance improvement, program and project delivery, strategic and operational planning and budget management.

Other duties undertaken in this role include:

- Mentoring and developing staff in understanding the business and its objectives

  • Managing financial and non-financial targets within the business
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to the Chair, Board, General Manager, staff and stakeholders on specific projects and LLS activities
  • Determining strategic directions for the organisation and pathways to get there

Our ideal candidate
will have proven leadership skills and experience with the ability to influence across all levels of the business. You will have extensive experience in managing people, programs and projects. Your high levels of integrity and accountability will be one of your greatest assets. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to inspire direction and purpose in the people you lead and manage.

To be successful in this role you’ll need;

  • Degree in Agricultural, Environmental, Natural Resource Management, Biosecurity and Emergency Management or related field, or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Current NSW Driver License and the ability and willingness to travel
