Help protect one of Australia’s iconic species.

North West Local Land Services are looking for an Aboriginal Community Support Officer (Koala Habitat) to join the project team responsible for delivering a new and exciting project aimed at protecting one of the country’s most iconic species.

In this role you will be working closely with Aboriginal people, communities and organisations to:

  • Actively increase awareness, access and community engagement for the projects
  • Increase and enhance opportunities for Aboriginal procurement
  • Undertake field work (such as inspections and assessments) in all conditions and terrains
  • Assist in conservation and land management.
  • Maintain accurate data and records


To be successful you’ll need to have;

  • A passion for working with community and for conservation and land management, combined with proven relevant experience
  • Existing knowledge of Aboriginal Cultural Heritage, including artefact and site identification (although this is not essential to be successful in this job)
  • A current NSW Driver Licence and the ability and willingness to travel throughout the region as required


You will be energetic, enthusiastic, positive, a great team player and absolutely passionate about protecting native wildlife.
