What we are looking for:

South East Local Land Services are seeking a proactive, hands on Project Officers to work on a variety of Natural Resource Management (NRM) and land management projects and programs throughout the region.

Natural Resource Management (NRM) Professionals

These mid-level roles deliver key extension and advisory services to farmers, landholders and community within Local Land Services. Opportunities through this Talent Pool for successful candidates will be to develop and implement key natural resource, riverine and/or catchment management projects and related initiatives, and provide advice and services to resolve complex natural resource, riverine or catchment management and related soil, land and agricultural issues.

About You:

The ideal candidates will have:

  • Previous experience and/or qualifications in Natural Resource Management;
  • Previous experience engaging and forming strong relationships with landholders;
  • Developed project management skills, including reporting, budgeting, planning and monitoring;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Having a positive and solution focused attitude, you’ll be able to think creatively and solve complex problems for both yourself and others as they arise. You’ll also be able to work autonomously with limited supervision and simply get things done.

Please note that the successful applicant will be required to undertake a functional health assessment as part of their pre-employment conditions before an offer on employment can be made.
