The North West LLS region extends from Moree Plains Shire Council in the north to Liverpool Plains Shire Council in the south, Walgett Shire Council in the west and Gwydir Shire Council in the east. It is made up of the council areas of Gunnedah, Gwydir, Liverpool Plains, Moree Plains, Narrabri, Tamworth and Walgett. The region has an area of approximately 82,000 km2, a distance of over 440 kilometres.
About the role
In this exciting role, you will work with a high-performing and supportive team in the North West LLS region. This role works directly with land managers and other key stakeholders within region to deliver a variety of agriculturally themed work and projects in areas such as pastures, livestock, soils, cropping and horticulture. This role is customer-focused, with your key responsibility is to provide high quality advice and expertise to landholders and agricultural extension services through consultations, workshops and field days.
Essential requirements for this role:
Whilst this role provides a broad range of advice and services, our ideal candidate will have experience with livestock. You will have a positive attitude, be highly motivated and keen to make a difference. You’ll also be able to work within a team and operate autonomously with limited supervision and simply get things done. Your interpersonal communication and professional relationship building skills will be your greatest asset.
