  • Temporary Full-time role available for up to 2 years with the possibility of an extension
  • Preferred Locations are Illawarra, Shoalhaven, South Coast, Southern Tablelands, Southern Highlands, Riverina, Murray
  • Salary starts from $113,343 + super and leave loading

About the Role 

We are seeking an enthusiastic, people-focused and connected professional to join the Office of Regional Economic Development to help drive investment outcomes in regional NSW.

In the role of Investment Manager, you will  identify, develop and manage projects that will drive economic growth in regional NSW.

You will work at a strategic level to implement initiatives that strengthen our economic relationships, promote investment opportunities and increase capability within NSW’s engine industries. Your role will provide timely, relevant and accurate market intelligence into current and emerging issues and trends to ensure major initiatives are responsive to current environmental, geopolitical and contextual factors.

About You

As part of the Precincts team, you’ll be responsible for engaging foreign and domestic investors to deliver multi-million dollar investment projects to grow the regional NSW economy.

You will be highly motivated and a proven relationship manager with the ability to oversee many different projects and programs with separate deliverables and actions.  You will have a passion and in-depth understanding of the issues facing regional NSW as well as the markets and industries that will play a key role in the development of our regions into the future.

You have experience leading and managing projects, programs and strategies related to international and domestic investment attraction and/or economic development.

You have excellent communication skills that allow you to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.

The Department of Regional NSW was formed in 2020 as a central agency for regional issues.  The Department is responsible for building resilient regional economies and communities, strengthening primary industries, managing the use of regional land, overseeing the state’s mineral and mining resources and ensuring government investment in regional NSW is fair and delivers positive outcomes for local communities and businesses.
