The Strategic Property and Fleet team at the Department of Regional NSW (DRNSW) are looking for an experienced Fleet professional to lead the fleet management function and provide customer relationship services across the corporate fleet, property and facilities function of the Department.

With a $20 to $30 million property portfolio, covering approximately 100 properties state-wide, this is a fantastic opportunity to lead the delivery of contemporary fleet management support services across multiple locations for the Regional NSW Cluster. You will also provide customer relationship management for the Strategic Property & Fleet function within a rapidly growing and geographically dispersed organisation across all of NSW.


The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:

  • The review and implementation of the DRNSW strategic fleet management plan
  • The establishment and ongoing management of a contemporary fleet service and support function which provides people in the Regional NSW Cluster with a superior fleet management experience and leadership in the development and implementation of fleet management policies, procedures and analytical reporting
  • The management of the fleet management function for DRNSW and Regional NSW cluster and the relationship between key internal stakeholder groups and customers within DRNSW to develop and deliver services and advice and implement fit for purpose fleet strategies, programs, tools and innovative best practice solutions that respond to current and future business needs and priorities
  • The management of key service provider relationships ensuring services are provided in line with agreements whilst developing strategies and negotiating to continually improve levels of service by reviewing processes that increase efficiency and provide more meaningful and appropriate critical business information


To be successful in this role you will require:

  • Significant fleet management experience within a similar role, ideally within a large multi-faceted organisation
  • To be an excellent communicator, problem solver and fleet management visionary who can develop strong and collaborative relationships within and across all levels of an organisation as well as with external stakeholders and service providers
  • You’ll also need a valid NSW Driver's licence and willingness and ability to drive to locations throughout NSW which may include overnight stays
