Where will you work? Central Tablelands LLS region is located in central NSW and covers an area of approximately 31,365 km2. It includes the major towns of Bathurst, Blayney, Cowra, Lithgow, Molong, Mudgee, Oberon and Orange and falls predominantly within Wiradjuri Aboriginal country. The region is home to over 156,000 residents and is home to a diverse range of industries including the major retail centres of Bathurst and Orange, the major university city of Bathurst and major mining operations. What will my day look like?
As our Emergency Management Coordinator, you will be pivotal in the planning and preparation for Central Tablelands Local Land Services’ response to natural disaster and biosecurity emergencies. You will report to the Manager Biosecurity and Emergency Services and will form productive relationships with regional stakeholders and provide advice to landholders to implement effective prevention, preparedness, response and recovery actions.

What you need to do this role:

  • Demonstrated experience in emergency response management situations
  • Ability to negotiate with stakeholders and customers
  • Ability to plan and make recommendations with respect to preparedness for, response to, and recovery from, biosecurity and natural disaster emergencies impacting land managers  
  • Previous experience in managing and undertaking a range of projects and associated activities with a view to achieving outcomes
  • Have a current NSW Driver License and the ability and willingness to travel, including overnight stays.
