  • Attractive salary from $116,211.00 to $128,061.00 (plus super and flexible work environment)

About the role

Due to growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join the team as a Development Manager. This is a pivotal role that focuses on supporting the planning and delivery of property developments and commercial transactions within the Special Activation Precincts.  The Development Manager will be responsible for multiple projects within one or more of the Special Activation Precincts in the Snowy Mountains, Moree, Parkes or Wagga Wagga at any point in time.

The role forms an important part of a high performing cross functional team from across Regional Growth NSW Development Corporation including those responsible for engagement, planning and infrastructure delivery to implement commercial outcomes.

As Development Manager you will work with Commonwealth, State and local government partners to structure market opportunities that are to be unlocked through major infrastructure investments, rezoning and changes to policy and governance arrangements. You will be required to support the preparation of development concepts and strategies, feasibility studies, budgets and programs, Project Development Agreements, sales contracts, leases and sales and marketing strategies, and be responsible for supporting the lease or sale of land to investors.

To be successful in the role you will have

  • A degree in real estate, land economics, business or related fields such as planning, environmental science and / or engineering.
  • Experience in property development and commercial transactions
  • Project management experience and the ability to multitask
  • Strong stakeholder and communication skills
  • A proactive and can-do attitude towards challenges and innovation
  • Ability to travel to all Special Activation Precincts when required for in-person activities.
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence plus a willingness and ability to drive within regional and rural locations.

In this position, you will report to Senior Development Manager and may be responsible for managing a small team and external resources.
