We have an exciting full-time ongoing Customer Service Officer role to fill in Paterson, NSW. We are looking for an individual to provide excellent front office reception and administrative support services at the Tocal Agricultural Institute. The successful candidate will successfully manage competing demands and undertake a variety of day-to-day administrative tasks.

About the Role

The Customer Service Officer works as part of a small team and is responsible for providing a range of front office reception and day to day administrative services to Departmental Officers and their clients.

What will your day involve?

  • Undertaking front counter reception duties, greeting visitors to the Department, determining visitor needs and directing them accordingly
  • Providing friendly and efficient customer service by answering telephone calls, assessing caller needs, providing information where confident to do so and directing calls to appropriate Departmental staff
  • Undertaking a range of basic administrative support services under supervision to support Departmental staff
  • Coordinating the dispatch and receipt of documents or packages from couriers to support the business of the Department
  • Processing sales and generating receipts

The ideal candidate:

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated excellent customer service skills in a high-volume work environment to ensure positive customer and stakeholder experiences. You will have exceptional communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a complex multifaceted environment. You will be determined to manage competing priorities with a meticulous attention to detail.
