About our team

The Department of Regional NSW Regional Development team are the NSW Government’s eyes and ears on the ground for regional economic development and infrastructure delivery, providing multi-agency coordination, program and grant funding, community planning and coordination, and emergency response delivery.  

We are excited to be establishing a Central West Regional Development team to lead investment and place-based solutions to regional service delivery and coordination, economic growth and diversity and jobs creation and skills to make the Central West a great place to work, live and invest.

 

About You

We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic people to join our Coordination Team. The successful applicant will have excellent stakeholder relationship skills, be a highly motivated professional with exceptional written and verbal communication skills and be passionate about enhancing liveability and service delivery for regional NSW.

You will be a solution’s orientated self-starter who is comfortable operating in a fast paced, high-pressure and at times, ambiguous environment. You will be supported by a regional and state network allowing you to seek help and escalate matters in a timely way. Superior ability to support and coordinate multiple projects with competing deadlines

 

About the Role:

The Coordination Officer will provide advice and support to the Deputy Director and Director to advance the Government’s priorities, deliver responsive change, service improvement and problem resolution to regional and rural NSW.

Key responsibilities for the Coordination Officer role include, but not limited to:

  • Regular formal and informal coordination activities of relevant NSW Government agencies for information sharing, with a particular focus on the Central West Regional Leadership Executive.
  • Provide advice and support to advance or resolve issues impacting on communities
  • Identify and escalate regional or multi-agency issues
  • Assist in the preparation of high-quality written advice
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

This role will be responsible for providing analysis, recommendations, and advice to support the resolution of issues impacting on communities and achieve positive benefits for the region.

The Coordination Officer reports to the Deputy Director and is fully accountable for the accuracy, validity, balance and integrity of the content of advice provided and work performed.

 

Essential requirements

  • Current valid NSW driver’s licence.
  • Superior ability to support and coordinate multiple projects with competing deadlines
