The Department of Regional NSW was formed in 2020 as a central agency. The Regional Growth NSW Development Corporation (the Corporation) is established under the Growth Centres (Development Corporations) Act 1974 to lead the delivery and implementation of the Government’s Special Activation Precincts program.

 

About the Role

The Contract Administrator will co-ordinate the ongoing performance of a portfolio of contracts in line with Contract Management procedures. This role will ensure those contracts are managed within their risk and budget frameworks and align with the Corporations and NSW Government policies and protocols.

 

Key responsibilities for the Contract Administrator role include, but not limited to:

  • Proactively identify, manage, and advise on the risks associated with the contract to meet compliance
  • Identify and escalate contract and service delivery risks and issues
  • Escalate supplier disputes and claims in a timely manner
  • Prepare and co-ordinate the required Contract Management documentation
  • Provide expert advice on contract conditions and administration to relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain the integrity of contract information and co-ordinate all aspects of the contract administration process
  • Provide reports, analyses and advice to support procurement decision-making

 

The role accounts and reports to the relevant reporting line manager.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated strong contract management skills and thrive on assisting the team to build effective and robust processes sustaining and continually improving. You will understand and maintain knowledge of current and emerging best practices for contract management and be adept at managing and delivering competing priorities within tight deadlines.

 

Key knowledge and experience

  • Demonstrated ability to administer contract management processes, contract renewals and identify and manage contract risks across a defined scope of contracts and vendors
  • Demonstrated experience administering GC21 contracts
  • An understanding of TfNSW specifications is desirable, although not essential
  • Experience as a key member of a project team in an infrastructure project environment
  • Proficient in the use of iTWOcx would be beneficial
  • Experience working under a “managing contractor” model
