About the Role


Are you excited by the prospect of unlocking opportunities for valuable commercial collaborations and turning ideas into new products and services?


We are seeking an entrepreneurially minded and self-motivated individual to join our Business Development team responsible for growing DPI’s impact through strategic collaborations, commercialisation of intellectual property, testing services, commercial technology demonstration across research stations.



The successful candidate will confidently develop collaborative relationships and support planning, scoping, and support the delivery of projects transforming ideas into commercial products, as well as lead background research and capacity building activities.


A high degree of professionalism is expected, as well as strong organisational skills and analytical skills, including a growth mindset and ability to initiate continuous improvement.

About You


You will have relevant business, R&D or public sector experience, be a team player and have sound management skills including the ability to meet tight deadlines.


Be capable of facilitating outcomes through an understanding of methodologies which draw out innovative thinking, customer desirability, technical feasibility and financial viability.


Having excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills you will be adept at fielding complex enquiries and information in a sensitive environment.


You will have the resilience to work under pressure, have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, and have the confidence to filter and prioritise requests and negotiate outcomes as required.
